We are the Pride Knights, and this is our battle cry No enemy can shake us, as hard as they can try There’s a fire in our eyes that no hatred can kill A passion in our hearts that’s as strong as our will
To our fellow queers who fight their battles on their own We promise to fight with you, you are never alone To our fellow queers who have fallen with the pain We thank you for your courage, your fight is not in vain We are defenders of the right to be proud of who you are To love who you love and to accept every scar We are your knights, protectors of our pride Together we stand, together we ride

Wednesday supposedly might be in love with Enid, but she would never admit it anytime soon because she’s hard as a rock and would rather die than confess that she’s supposedly in love with anyone. But she could have given those panda bears to anyone or just set them on fire, but she chose to give them to Enid. The most curious thing is that Xavier was next to her and quoted that phrase that supposedly implies that she might like “girls” and Wednesday could have denied it, but she left his question hanging in the air.
This probably took this person 3 seconds to do but it immediately told me that they liked my story enough to come back and read it again and they liked it again the second time.
Your favorite writers Do Not Know that you think about their stories after you read them. I generally assume that my stories make people happy for the few minutes they’re reading and then they never think about it again. To know that that’s not the case and that someone has returned just makes my little heart swell with joy.
I needed this today. If you’re the person who left this comment (or if you’ve ever commented on any of my writing) I love you.
Yes do this! Literally any version of “I loved this so much I came back to reread” is incredibly encouraging to writers. It’s not just a major compliment—it also reminds writers/fandoms that fics/art etc. don’t have an expiration date. They’re still alive and making people smile.
also please dont think there is a time limit for when you can comment on fics. Its an archive, you read my fic from 2 years ago? 5? 7? you wanna tell me you like it but dont wanna annoy me? lemme tell you sth - you will NEVER annoy me. any comment, long, short, anything, it all means the world. also there isn’t such a thing as a too long comment. i will read your essay, i will read your screaming at me, i will read it all, and reread it, and reread it again and again when im feeling down, or when i need inspo, or encouragement, and i will cherish it. leave me multiple coments, a string of emojis, whatever, it will never be annoying. i love interaction in comments, all of us writers do, and there is not expiration date, or statue of limitation on the fics. its just a lil happy loop all around.
[images are a series of edited gifs from The Emperor’s New Groove. They show Kronk saying, “Oh right, this fic. The fic I love. My favourite fic. The fic you wrote.” The last gif also shows Yzma rolling her eyes.]
trying to write a comment on an awesome fic is really hard
Having your own personal blog is honestly quite a nice change of pace compared to Reddit. I could put a funny GIF of George Bush getting hit by a shoe on here and the worse case scenario is that no one even notices.
You put that on a big subreddit and you get your eyes gouged out and a heap of political discourse underneath your post.
